The Team

Partners Who Have Been There

Our team brings together operating experience, investment acumen, and deep MENA networks to serve founders at the most critical stage of company building.

Yasmine Al-Rashid

Yasmine Al-Rashid

Managing Partner

Yasmine brings 15 years of experience in venture capital and private equity across the Gulf region. Previously, she led early-stage investments at a sovereign wealth fund in Abu Dhabi, where she deployed over $80M across fintech and enterprise software companies in MENA and Southeast Asia. Before venture, Yasmine spent six years as a corporate development executive at a major UAE telco, where she led strategic acquisitions and built the company's digital innovation program. She holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut. Yasmine founded Sooiv because she believed MENA founders deserved a partner who understood the region as deeply as they did.

Sarah Mitchell

Sarah Mitchell

General Partner

Sarah joined Sooiv from a global technology company where she served as VP of Strategy for EMEA, overseeing the growth and expansion of the company's regional operations. She has a particular focus on digital health and education technology, having co-founded and exited a digital health startup in Egypt that served over 2 million patients before its acquisition. Sarah's operational background means she understands the day-to-day challenges that founders face: hiring, product pivots, regulatory hurdles, and the emotional demands of company building. She holds a Masters in Public Health from Imperial College London and a BA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.

Nadia Karimi

Nadia Karimi

Partner

Nadia leads Sooiv's fintech and embedded finance portfolio. With a background in investment banking at a leading regional institution, she brings structured thinking, financial modelling expertise, and a deep network across the banking and payments ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt. Prior to joining Sooiv, Nadia spent three years as a principal at a growth-stage fund in Riyadh, where she focused on B2B SaaS and marketplace businesses. She is particularly passionate about the opportunity for embedded finance to reshape how MENA's SMEs access working capital and grow their businesses. Nadia holds an MSc in Finance from HEC Paris and a BA from the University of Jordan.
